The community of Malta plans to host a spirited theater production of "The Enchantment of the Beauty and the Beast," a perfect show for the whole family. Adapted from the fairy tale by Giovani Francesco Straparola and Madame Leprince de Beaumont, this magical performance arrives just in time for Halloween. As the story goes, a vengeful witch turns a selfish prince into a beast after he rejects her.

The Parks and Recreation Department in Malta puts together a handy guide of all the parks and trails in Malta. It is available at the Malta Community Center, 1 Bayberry Drive. Reservations may be made for the picnic pavilions in the Malta Community Park and the Shenantaha Creek Park from May through September.
