3 Simple Garden Renovations

It’s garden season, and if you’ve been following our recent posts, you’ll know that we’re excited! Gardens are the perfect space to relax, entertain, or watch the kids play for the afternoon.

If you feel your garden needs some love, take a look at these 3 simple garden renovations that will make you want to spend all of your time out in the backyard.

  1. Stepping-stones

Stepping-stones are a great way to add some character to your backyard. Build a walkway between your favorite flowers, or draw a path to your deck fireplace. A designated walkway will allow you to view your outdoor space with the integrity it deserves. Pick up some pavers from your local hardware store for a cheap, do-it-yourself renovation that is sure to turn heads.

  1. Hanging lanterns

Utilize your backyard even after the sun has gone down with the addition of some hanging lanterns. Host a dinner party by the light of your new lanterns! You’ll be shocked at how long you’ll be sitting out on the deck. With solar and candle-lit options, a new set of hanging lanterns will brighten your yard at little cost (and little hassle) to you.

  1. Fire pit

Our final simple garden renovation is the addition of a fire pit. You can choose to purchase a fire pit from your local hardware store, or build one yourself out of cinderblocks or other stone materials. A small fire pit is a great place to come together with friends and family over s’mores or a glass of wine. We think everyone should consider this idea!

A special backyard space will not only make you feel more excited to spend time outside, but it will also do the same for anyone who comes in contact with it! Host more parties this summer, bring more people over, spend more hours in the sun—you won’t regret it.
