Now that you've arrived in Saratoga County, we'd like to make shopping for groceries and other daily essentials just a little easier.  Every community has different shops with their own unique strengths and weaknesses, and our community is no different.  Saratoga County features a wide assortment of options for purchasing your groceries, from "mom and pop" convenience stores to bulk purveyors.  We've also included a few stores located a short drive away.

Price Chopper: Price Chopper is the major grocery chain that services the Ballston Spa, Malta, and Saratoga Springs area. You'll find fresh meats, excellent organic produce, and pharmacy services.    Price Chopper has multiple locations throughout Saratoga County.

Hannaford Supermarket: The next largest grocery chain, Hannaford Supermarkets, has locations sprinkled throughout the region.  You'll find all your favorite groceries and a pharmacy in almost all of their stores.  Hannaford Supermarkets have multiple locations throughout Saratoga County.

De Lucia's Market:  De Lucia's Market is a small, friendly shop that contains most of your grocery needs.  De Lucia's has a specialty shop feel, especially for deli cut meats.  De Lucia's Market offers customers breakfast and lunch on the go if you are in a hurry and need pre-made sandwiches.  De Lucia's Market is located at 2858 Route 9 in Ballston Spa.

ALDI Foods:  ALDI Foods prides itself on being the "low price grocery leader”.  You'll find meats, poultry, produce, and generically branded items at significantly lower costs than other groceries. What ALDI lacks in name brand products they more than make up for in cost savings and selection.  ALDI is located at 2008 Doubleday Avenue in Ballston Spa.

Lakeside Farms:  Lakeside Farms has earned rave reviews for their breakfast and brunch restaurant menus, but they also have a wonderful farm store that sells homemade cider, donuts, cheeses and fresh seasonal vegetables.  Be sure to check their website, for hours, as they are open seasonally.  Lakeside Farms is located at 336 Schauber Road in Ballston Lake.

Cumberland Farms:  Less of a grocery store and more of a convenience center, Cumberland is a great option for grabbing something quickly on the go. Here you'll find a very clean store that stocks basic essentials like milk, fresh fruit, sandwiches, and coffee.  You'll also find automobile supplies like engine oil and washer fluid.  Cumberland Grocery is located at 75 Milton Avenue in Ballston Spa.

Trader Joes:  Just a half hour drive down I-87, Trader Joe's in Colonie is filled with organic and local produce, popular wines like Charles Shaw (depending on availability), and specialty meats and cheeses.  Trader Joes is located at 79 Wolf Road in Colonie.

Stewart's Shops:  You'll find Stewart's Shop convenience stores just about everywhere in Saratoga County.  Pick up a gallon of milk, ice cream, a cup of coffee, and other quick essentials here.  Stewart's Shops are located throughout Saratoga County.

Whole Foods: Although not open quite yet, plans have been announced for the opening of a location in Albany, just a half hour south of the Ballston Spa/Malta area.

With this list in your back pocket, you'll have no problem settling into your new home. Just be sure to make a great first impression and invite your new neighbors over for a tasty dinner!
