Written by Malta Development | 12/8/14 2:00 PM

The holidays are on their way and what better way to celebrate with a wholesome platter of homemade fudge?

Fudge is an American holiday classic. First created in a small New York bakery in 1886, it has slowly become one of the defining treats of the holiday season. Smooth and slightly chewy-- these chocolate squares are only enhanced with warm traces of vanilla and often times a handful of pecans or walnuts.

With this recipe, you can learn how to make fudge in a whole 11 minutes. Yes, that's right. 11! Don't miss out on this unforgettable delight.

Ingredients

2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

1 can (14 oz.) Sweetened Condensed Milk

1 cup chopped walnuts

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Line a 8- or 9-inch square baking pan with foil.

Combine morsels and sweetened condensed milk in medium, heavy-duty saucepan. Warm over lowest possible heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat; stir in nuts and vanilla extract.

Spread the mixture evenly into prepared baking pan. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm. Lift from pan; remove foil. Cut into 48 pieces.
